"The PDP-BJP Government headed by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to provide better amenities to the people. Special focus is being given to upgrade the living standards of weaker sections and downtrodden people" Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said while interacting with the farmers during his tour to Bashat village of Chenani constituency today.
The Minister also took stock of crop and vegetable damages in the area due to the incessant rains. The Minister also inspected Cocoon Seed Rearing Centre, Sial Sallan and Cocoon Warehouse Chery Udhampur.
Hanjura said that the directions have already been given to the Revenue and Agriculture Departments to constitute joint teams to assess the damages to standing crops and vegetables due to heavy rains so that compensation is given to the affected farmers well in time.
