The Jammu and Kashmir national highway was today closed for vehicular traffic for over four hours due to landslides triggered by heavy rains in the Ramban and Udhampur districts of the state.
"The highway was closed at Keri in Udhampur district and Panthyal in Ramban district this afternoon," a traffic police official said.
Later, the men and machines of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) cleared the landslides and made the highway trafficable for one way, he said.
Only one-way traffic was restored on the highway, he said.
