"We call for formulation of short and long term programmes for holistic development of the state," Sadhotra said while reviewing the functioning of Planning and Development Department at a high level meeting here this afternoon.
The minister said that the core plan of the developmental strategy should lead to percolation of benefits to the common masses within the stipulated time frame.
"Any programme or scheme loses efficacy if its execution gets delayed or impaired," the minister said, emphasising the need for expeditious execution.
The minister directed the officials of the department to devise a mechanism for efficient and effective monitoring in order to have real time status updates of each work, programme or scheme undertaken, especially in remote and backward areas.
