: A jail warden facing charges, including receiving bribe from prisoners, allegedly committed suicide at a lodge here, police said Wednesday.
Ranjit Kumar of Omalur Kottakoundanpatti in the district was found hanging in a room at the lodge.
He had been transferred toRasipuram recently following complaints of corruption.
Kumar's colleagues said he was under severe stress after thetransfer and was fearing departmental action over the complaints.
Investigations showed that he had 'links' some chain-snatchers and one of the prisoners who was involved in cheating a woman, police said.
