Jamaluddin Syed Mohammad struck an unbeaten 90 as Assam reached 236/8 in their Group C Ranji Trophy match against Goa here today.
The 30-year-old batsman made his runs off 171 balls and hit 14 fours. Gokul Sharma made 46 off 157 balls after Goa opted to bowl at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium.
For Goa, Harshad Gadekar was the most successful bowler, picking up four wickets.
