The entrance gates of the Janpath Metro Station here were shut briefly this evening due to a protest by a group of Tibetans outside it, authorities said.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation officials said the gates were shut for about an hour from 7:30 PM.
"We were advised by the police to shut the gates on account of some protest by a few Tibetan activists. So, they were shut briefly," a DMRC official said.
Police said the activists were protesting near the gates, following which "nine of them were detained".
