Actress-politician Jaya Bachchan and noted lyricist-poet Gulzar today avoided questions on the row surrounding Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", which features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
In the aftermath of Uri attack, Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has decided to oppose the screening of films featuring Pakistani artists.
"Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles, is slated to release on October 28. Its producers today demanded police protection for screenings.
Today after the launch of album "Gulzar in conversation with Tagore", Jaya, who attended the event, chose to avoid questions on the film and walked away to her car.
Gulzar too was in no mood to say anything on the controversy that has divided Bollywood.
He told mediapersons that he would answer the questions only regarding the album.
Even before a journalist asked a question Gulzar asked if the question was related to the event, and when the journalist said it was not, Gulzar shot back, "I will talk only about the event," before leaving.
Playback singers Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal, who were also present too kept mum on the issue.
