Jeevan reaches semis of Guam ITF Futures tourney

Top seeded Indian Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan fought past Japanese sixth seed Gengo Kikuchi to progress to the singles semifinals of the USD 10,000 ITF Futures tournament, here today.
Left-handed Jeevan won 7-6(3) 6-3 in a hard-fought quarter-final of the hard court tournament.
To book a place in his first final of the season, Jeevan faces Japanese third seed Yuuya Kibi as his next opponent.
It will be Jeevan's fourth semifinal of the season. Before this, he reached semifinals at ITF Futures events in Chennai and Trichy and last week he appeared in his first ever Challenger level semifinal in Karshi, Uzbekistan.
