Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das today hailed the union budget, saying that this would give impetus to infrastructure development in the country.
"The Budget is according to the needs of the country and addressed all sections of the society," Das said in a statement.
Besides serving the interests of all segments including industry, middle class, weaker sections and women's security, the Rs 25,000 crore allocation for rural development is a major step, he said.
The 'Nayee Manzil' scheme for youths of minority community was a historic step, Das said adding hike in the Nirbhaya Fund from Rs 1000 crore to Rs 2000 crore and making 'Sukanya Smrudhi' tax-free expressed the government's commitment for the security of women.
Schemes like Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and others would extend benefit to the common man, the chief minister said.
Das, also a senior BJP leader, said the budget also addressed the needs of the Corporate sector to promote business and generate employment.
