In a letter to the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Raman Singh, IMA Jharkhand chapter protested against the actions on the doctors and urged him to immediately release Dr R K Gupta and revoke suspension on other doctors.
IMA pleaded that since post-mortem reports had clearly stated no surgical negligence, action against the doctors did not justify.
"It is really surprising and condemnable that an honest and senior doctor has been penalised. This has been done due to a nexus between IAS lobby, politicians, and drug mafia," said Dr A K Singh, state IMA President.
