The decision was taken after consultations with principals of the schools, said an official release quoting School Education & Literacy Department Secretary Aradhana Patnaik.
Directions were also issued to suspend classes of I to VIII from April 28 and reschedule timings of Classes IX to XII. The new timings will be between 6.30 AM and 10.30 AM till the vacation, the release said.
