JK budget session to begin from January 18

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra has summoned both houses of the state legislature to meet here for the budget session commencing from January 18.
The Governor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him under sub-section (1) of section 53 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, has summoned the state Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council to meet at Jammu on Monday, the 18th January, 2016 at 11:00 am, an official spokesman said.
After the Governor's address to both the Houses of the Legislature, each House will meet as a separate body at the time specified by the respective Presiding Officers, he said.

With the Governor formally summoning the state Legislature in Jammu on 18 January 2016 for budget session, the members of the Legislative Assembly have been asked to submit questions, bills and resolutions for the said session.
According to a notification issued here today by Mohammad Ramzan, Secretary, Legislative Assembly, each member of the Legislative Assembly has been asked to send 10 starred and 10 un-starred questions to the Assembly Secretariat by 31 December 2015.
The members have been also asked to send five bills each by 31 December and four resolutions each by 3 January 2016, the spokesman added.
