JKNPP: Youth's killing an act of terrorism

Terming the killing of a youth in firing as a "terrorist act by the men in uniform", Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today demanded slapping of murder charges against the cops involved in the alleged killing of a youth in the Domana belt here.
"JKNPP Chief Patron Prof Bhim Singh talked to DGP, J&K K Rajendra and demanded an FIR against the Domana Police under IPC section 302 for murder of a youth right in front of Domana police station in full view of the neighbours," Coordination Secretary, Jagdev Singh told reporters here today.
Alleging that youth was killed by the cops, he said "JKNPP described this murder of the Dalit youth as a terrorist act of the men in uniform which can only be understood as a state terror."

Tarsem Lal (24), who was arrested on charges of drug smuggling by the Special Operations Group, was shot dead yesterday after he allegedly attempted to escape when the SOG was handing him over to Domana police. Five policemen of SOG were today arrested on charges of killing him.
Singh said, "This was second murder by men in uniform in Jammu district. Last week a young man, Jagjit Singh was shot in the head and the government refused to appoint a judicial inquiry".
He demanded the registration of an FIR immediately under section 302, follow up action against the culprits and appointment of a judicial inquiry along with a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the family.

The JKNPP leader also demanded an overall reshuffle of the police in the state and urged the Governor to declare emergency as the present government has failed to protect the life and property of the citizens which is the mandate of Article 21 in the Constitution of India.

Singh also called on the Panthers Party activists to hit the streets to help provide justice to the youth.
"Such acts are highly dangerous to the civil society as they threaten the very existence of the peace-loving citizens in the state. There is no governance in the state", he added.
"Those hoisting Pakistani, Khalistani and ISIS flags and raising bogey against India have full freedom and protection from the state", he alleged.
