The company had produced 2.76 MT crude steel in the same quarter of the last fiscal on pro-forma basis, it said in a statement issued today.
While the production of flat products grew by 17 per cent at 2.57 MT during the October-December quarter, the production of long products saw a nine per cent decline to 0.44 MT.
Flat products are mainly used in automobiles and white goods sectors while long products find application in construction sector.
The production of flat and long products was at 0.87 MT and 0.15 MT, respectively during the month.
For the nine-month period of current fiscal, production of the company stood at 9.03 MT as compared to 8.42 MT during the April-December period of last fiscal.
