Junior Technial Assistant arrested for taking bribe

Anti-corruption Bureau sleuths today arrested a junior technical assistant while allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 18,000 for issuing a work completion certificate, an official spokesman said.
Rajesh Vyas, who is posted at Panchayat Samiti in Banswara, had demanded a bribe of Rs 1000 per well from one Manoj Doshi who had constructed 18 wells at Badrail gram panchayat, for issuing the certificate, the spokesperson said.
ACB laid a trap and arrested Vyas while he was accepting the bribe from Doshi, he said, adding, a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been lodged against him.
