"With an initial presence boasting 30 cinemas in the two states, the company is bullish with its plans of expanding its reach to 100 cinemas by the end of FY17," the company said in a statement.
The company, among the country's largest distributors of Indian cinema via its SkyCinex technology IP, claimed support from Telugu Film Chamber Of Commerce and noted producer Suresh Babu. It aimed to set up 'digital technology' focused presence in 500 cinemas across the two states by FY18.
"This will help us in procuring the Hollywood content for the Indian market. MPS is an association representing the DCI group for all the content mastered in DCP format for release in India and overseas.
