The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Department of Commerce and Industries and Ekolog to promote investments in clean technologies sector, an official release said.
It was signed by Robest Jans, Director, Ekolog and K Rathna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary, Commerce and Industries Department, in the presence of Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries and Tourism, R V Deshpande.
As part of the MoU, Ekolog will establish a special high technology equipment factory in the state to create a market in India and also export overseas.
Ekolog's product portfolio consists of ELA reactors for wastewater treatment plants, technologies for biological and chemical phosphorus removal, a cogeneration system with supply of electricity to the national grid, among others.
