DMK chief M Karunanidhi today condoled the demise of renowned cartoonist R K Laxman, saying his death was a great loss to the country.
"His demise is a huge loss to the country. I extend my deep condolences to his family members and friends in the journalism world," he said in a statement here.
While his novelist brother R K Narayan was recognised by the English world for his works, Laxman worked for more than 60 years as a cartoonist for an English daily, Karunanidhi noted.
