The 34-year-old A-list actress joined the popular social media site yesterday and has sent out her first tweets while on set of latest film "The Giver", reported the New York Daily News.
"So happy to be on Twitter! Sending first tweets from South Africa!" she wrote.
Holmes, whose twitter handle is KatieHolmes212, added her area code of New York City where she's now a full-time resident with daughter Suri Cruise.
Some of her first followers includ high-end fashion magazine, Vogue, as well the spinning studio, Soul Cycle.
