While Arvind Kejriwal could contest against Narendra Modi in Varanasi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would field a different candidate against the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate in Vadodara, senior party leader Prashant Bhushan said here today.
Addressing a press meet here, Bhushan said the same person contesing more than one seat was against the policy of the party since it considered that as "undemocratic."
He said AAP considered both the BJP and the Congress as standing for the interests of the corporates.
Bhushan said the AAP had fielded candidates in 15 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala and the party would support "honest and incorrupt" persons in the remaining seats.
As the AAP was expanding its presence in all parts of the country, the party was aware that some opportunists were trying to infiltrate it. The party would remain vigilant against that and those trying to join the party to serve their personal interests would not be admitted.
