Dr Khandad of the world health programme and six members of the polio team were abducted on February 17 from Tank district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
After their recovery, the team was garlanded on their arrival at the office of the Assistant Political Agency in Tank district.
The administration had arrested eight tribesmen of the Betanni tribe in connection with thre abduction.
The elders of Betanni tribe played a key role in the unconditional recovery of the team members.
The workers said their kidnappers treated them well and the weather of the area where they were kept was very cold and it was mountainous terrain.
