The murder was committed by the convict Jibanjaya Das on March 11, 2012 at Gogua village under Kendrapara rural police station jurisdiction.
Kendrapara District and Sessions Judge, Bijoy Ketan Mohanty, while adjudicating the case pronounced the verdict today on the basis of circumstantial evidence of the crime.
In a sudden fit of rage over domestic quarrel, the accused had stabbed to death his spouse by a sharp weapon and had later on confessed to the crime.
Witnesses were cross-examined during the course of the trial. All corroborated to the charge-sheet filed by the police, said prosecution counsel, Bhimsen Bhyan.
