KPs demand for immediate allotment of quarters

Kashmiri Pandits living in rented accommodations today staged a demonstration outside the relief commissioner's office here seeking allotment of quarters to them in the Jagti Township.
The migrants asked the commissioner to speed-up the process and make the quarters available to those whose details have already been verified by the government.
Relief Commissioner R K Pandita assured them that the allotment would be made at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the government has asked the Relief and Rehabilitation to constitute six to eight teams headed by Zonal Officers to speed up the verification process, so that genuine beneficiaries are provided the accommodation at the earliest.
