Krishnendu Chowdhury elected chairman of English Bazar

Trinamool Congress candidate and West Bengal minister Krishnendu Narayan Chowdhury was today elected as the chairman of the English Bazar Municipality of Malda district.
Chowdhury secured 15 votes while the opposition candidate Nihar Ranjan Ghosh got 12 votes while two Congress councillors abstained from the voting.
Chowdhury the West Bengal Horticulture Development minister became the chairman of the English Bazar Municipality for the fourth time.
