Kuchipudi in AP to host international multi-cultural art fest

A three-day international multi-cultural art festival will be held from Friday at Kuchipudi village in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, where the Kuchipudi classical dance took birth.
About 2500 artists from 32 countries, representing various art forms, are expected to participate in the event, named the Vishwa Kala Mahotsavam (international cultural festival).
The organiser of the festival Vinay Kumar said in a press release here today that the festival is a platform for experts of various art forms, from various participating countries to showcase, propagate and discuss their respective art forms.
Prominent movie actors Anupam Kher and Kamal Haasan will attend the inaugural function, Vinay Kumar said.

Vishwa Kalaa Mahotsavam is promoted by the Integrated Rural Development Association, Movva, in association with 'Nirneetha' which works with the vision of disseminating the values of culture, traditions and various art forms.
