Addressing the delegates of the 'State Convention' of the Mizoram Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC) in Aizawl, Lal Thanhawla urged the Congress members not to hesitate to vote for the symbols of other parties with which the party formed alliance in the polls.

The by-poll was necessitated by the resignation of the chief minister's younger brother on August 18 over allegations of conflict of interests and misuse of public office.
