The CPI and CPI (M) today staged a walkout in the Tamil Nadu Assembly after they were denied permission by the Speaker to raise certain issues.
Soon after two call attention motions were taken up by the Speaker Dhanapal and were replied to by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and Higher Education Minister P Palaniappan, the Left parties sought to raise certain issues in the House, for which they had already given a written communication to Speaker P Dhanapal.
After their persistent attempt to get the Speaker's permission to discuss the issue went in vain, the two parties staged a walkout.
