Life sentence to five brothers in 14 year old murder case

A local court here today awarded life sentence to five brothers in a 14-year-old murder case.
According to prosecution, one Dhanpal of Nagla Tayabpur village under Ujhani police station area in the district was beaten to death by the five brothers over a dispute related to their agricultural land on October 27, 2000.
After hearing both the sides, additional district judge Bhudev Gautam today awarded life sentence to Brijpal, Prempal, Ram Das, Chandrapal and Rakesh (all brothers).
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each, 50 per cent of which would be provided to the dependants of the deceased as compensation.
