Lightning arrestors to be installed

: The Dakshina Kannada district administration has decided to install lightning arrestors in lightning-prone areas in the district to prevent casualties in rural areas during the rainy season.
In a statement here, Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim said precautions might reduce the possibility of casualties.
A total of six persons have been killed and four injured in the district in lightning incidents so far. Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers would be installed at identified lightning prone areas in villages.The administration would seek the help of experts to identify such areas before the onset of monsoon, he said.
