Rapper Lil Wayne is heading to court after attempts to settle his feud with musician Birdman fell apart.
According to TMZ, the 32-year-old rapper is seeking at least USD 8 million over an unpaid advance of his new album 'Tha Carter V' which keeps getting delayed at Young Money/Cash Money.
Once a YMCM darling, Wayne no longer wants to stay at the label. He revealed in late 2014 his desire to find a new home for his music.
"I am a prisoner and so is my creativity again, I am truly sorry and I don't blame you if you fed up with waiting for me & this album. But thank u," he tweeted.
Birdman later promised to release the fifth instalment of 'Tha Carter' album "in due time," but Wayne didn't seem to buy it.
