The Black Keys is forced to scrap the European leg of their world tour to promote new album Turn Blue.
Seventeen scheduled dates were axed from their schedule after the drummer Patrick Carney suffered a serious shoulder injury, reported Ace Showbiz.
"Regrettably, due to prior scheduled commitments and venue availability, efforts to reschedule the original dates were unsuccessful; therefore all tickets will be refunded in full at their point of purchase. At this time, it is not expected that any dates after March 10 will be cancelled."
"We are very sorry to have to cancel our upcoming performances through March 10. Patrick needs time to heal. We thank all of our fans for their support and we're looking forward to getting back on the road," Patrick and the guitarist/vocalist Dan Auerbach said.
The Black Keys also cancelled their performance at the MusiCares Person of the Year tribute to Bob Dylan. They are expected to return on the road on April 2 with a concert in Brisbane, Australia. Their subsequent summer music festival appearances and upcoming performance at the Governors Ball are also still on as scheduled.
