"The Corps Commander during his visit took stock of the prevailing security situation along the Line of Control in the wake of the recent incidents of ceasefire violations," an Army officer said.
He said that the general asked the local administration to make some bunkers and bomb shelters so that civilians in the area can take shelter in such places whenever there is heavy fire from across the border.
The officer during his visit also met with the local formation commanders and took stock of the prevailing situation along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
He has handed over Rs 10,000 relief money to the people injured in shelling, at the hospital, where he also visited in Poonch today.
