At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, maize for delivery in this month dropped by Rs 9, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 1,091 per quintal with an open interest of 18,930 lots.
Similarly, the most-active delivery in July month contracts lost Rs 5, or 0.44 per cent, to trade at Rs 1,129 per quintal in an open interest of 38,130 lots.
Marketmen said apart from subdued demand, higher supplies in the physical markets weighed on maize prices at futures trade here.
