Male baby dies after birth

Tension prevailed briefly at the Primary Health Centre in Podanur near here following the death of a new born baby, reportedly due to the negligence of the authorities.
According to police, 24-year old Shiba had delivered a male baby around 11 AM, but the child died immediately.
The woman's relatives blamed 'negligence' of the authorities for the death, alleging that the delivery was attended by a trainee nurse, police said.
They dispersed after the health department officials assured to look into the issue.
