BJP's Bengal unit President Rahul Sinha said it was a desperate attempt to stay relevant as other political parties completely ignored her.
"West Bengal chief minister, who once dreamt of leading the third front at the Centre before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, became completely irrelevant. So in her desperation to make her presence felt she had issued unsolicited support for Nitish Kumar in social media," Sinha claimed.
He alleged that Banerjee was afraid of BJP's win in Bihar as it would have a direct bearing on next year's election in West Bengal.
Banerjee yesterday had requested the people of Bihar to vote in Nitish Kumar's favour for the greater need of the country and development of the state.
Nitish Kumar, senior JD(U) leader, heads the grand secular alliance consisting of his party, RJD and Congress.
