A senior office-bearer of the Maulana Azad Minorities Financial Development Corporation was arrested by ACB today for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 for forwarding an educational loan proposal of a complainant.
Pravinkumar Ingale, Assistant District Manager at MAMFDC, had allegedly sought Rs 15,000 to forward the proposal of Rs 1,11,000 to its Mumbai office, but later settled for Rs 10,000, an ACB release stated.
As per the agency, the complainant's son is a IInd year student of Diploma in Engineering, and had submitted the proposal to MAMFDC's Nashik office nearly two months back.
The ACB laid the trap and caught Ingale when he was allegedly accepting the amount at his office in afternoon.
