Lal Ruatlian, resident of Churachandpur district in Manipur, was intercepted by a CISF check squad after he was found moving suspiciously at the Terminal-1D of the domestic airport.
"Ruatlian was detected at about 0940 am when he arrived at the terminal to catch a flight to Guwahati. He was taken for a detailed frisking which led to the recovery of nine-kg tablets of Pseudoephedrine," CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh said.
The CISF then called up sleuths of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), who later arrested him under anti-drugs laws.
Ruatlian was residing in Janakpuri area of the national capital and was here for tourist purposes, they said.
The NCB is probing further, they added.
