According to police, the accused, identified as one Dharmendra, was arrested from Faridabad following a tip-off.
"Dharmendra, brother of the 23-year-old Priyanka, had reached her house yesterday morning and scolded her for eloping with the 25-year-old Harender.
"In a fit of rage, Dharmendra attacked Harender and stabbed him several times. When Priyanka tried to intervene, he stabbed her as well," said a police official.
Harender and Priyanka had a love marriage in Bihar's Ara district against the wishes of family members, police said.
Priyanka was a relative of Harender's elder brother.
"She used to visit his house and fell in love with him. Both decided to get married but their family was not happy with the decision. They secretly got married and fled to Delhi," said a police official.
