The man was arrested from Lilong Chajing locality in Thoubal district yesterday, a police officer said today.
The police and the cyber crime unit were looking for the man ever since a complaint was lodged by the girl.
Based on intelligence inputs, the police yesterday spotted the person in the vicinity of his residence. But he fled seeing the police personnel. He was arrested after the police chased and overpowered him.
During investigation, it was learnt that the man had hidden one 9mm pistol and a few live rounds of ammunition at his residence. They were recovered by the police.
