Man gets life term for murdering priest

A man was today sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment by a court here for murdering a priest in 2015.
The court of Additional Sessions Judge Krishan Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 10000 on Knakhakru Ram, a resident of Sidhpur tehsil, for murdering the priest of a local Hanuman temple.
It said that in case of default in payment of the fine, the convict has to further undergo simple imprisonment for six months.
According to the prosecution, Ram hacked to death Ram Nath Tyagi with an axe on May 8, 2015.
