Man held after surrendering in court for cheating

Police today took a man, who allegedly admitted to duping many innocent people to the tune of Rs 20 crore on the promise of huge returns after investing in his firm, into their custody after he surrendered before a court.
The court remanded him in judicial custody, a police release stated.
The accused and his associates allegedly promised big returns to investors but started avoiding them later on, it added.
