A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his 21-year-old girlfriend in Khudda village here, police said today.
Ruksana went missing on March 30 and police suspected her boyfriend Naushad's role in her disappearance, Chhapar police station SHO Adesh Tyagi said.
Naushad, whois already married, was yesterday arrested, he said.
On questioning, Naushad (around 26) confessed to the crime and said that Rukshana was putting pressure on him to marry her, Tyagi said.
Naushad told police that he strangulated her and dumped her body in a sugarcane field.
The body has been recovered from the spot, the SHO said.
