The police arrested Sunil Sunar alias Kale Buro (23), a driver of Suman Transport, from Garikhana area last night, SP (City) Vivek Syiem told newsmen here.
The theft was reported to the police on July 6 when the shutter of the godown was found broken and 61 mobile sets, which were brought from Guwahati for distribution to a firm, missing.
Of the 61 stolen phones, 31 have been recovered from the residence of Sunar, while the rest is being searched, the SP said adding he was involved in cases of theft and burglary earlier too.
