Man jailed for 10 years for raping handicapped niece

A local court has convicted a man of raping his handicapped minor niece and sentenced him to ten years of imprisonment.
Additional District Sessions judge, Mohad Ali pronouncing the verdict last evening, also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on accused Abrar.
The 15-year-old victim, daughter of Abrar's sister, was raped by her uncle when she was alone in her house at Churyala village in the district on January 12, 2010, government prosecutor Yogesh Kumar Sharma said.
After the complaint was made to SSP of the district, a case was registered against Abrar, who was later arrested by the police.
