Man kidnapped by Manipur militants released

A man from Indore who was kidnapped by militants in November last year from Manipur's Thoubal district was released unharmed in Senapati district today, official sources said.
The man, Nitin Mashi, who is married to a Manipuri woman, was abducted on November 29 last year from Pallel area in Thoubal district, the sources said.
Despite appeals from various social organisations to free him he could not be traced, the sources said.
The militants released him at Kangpokpi area in Senapati district.
