Man kills wife, commits suicide in Punjab

A 45-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train after strangulating his wife to death here today.
Vishwanath, a resident of Kalal Majari area here, apparently, strangulated his wife, Prabhawati, to death following a dispute between them over some issue, police said.
Later, he allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a moving train, they said.
A suicide note recovered from his pocket stated that Vishwanath decided to take the extreme step since his neighbour had been harassing him and asked police to take strict action in the matter.
A case has been registered in this regard and probe was underway, police said.
