Man's face blackened for cattle theft

A man was allegedly harassed and his face blackened by a group of local people on the suspicion of his involvement in cattle theft in Jalore district, police said.
The face of Achala Ram was blackened and he was marched towards the district collectorate after he was caught by the local people when he was taking a stray bull with him, Prithviraj Meena, Additional Superintendent of Police, said.
However, the man was freed after police reached the spot.
A case has been registered in this regard while the further probes are on into the incident, the ASP added.
