Almost two months after his genitals were chopped off allegedly by a group of eunuchs, the middle-aged man was shot at and injured by one of the accused and another member of the group, police said today.
The victim identified as Manoj alias Kalwa, a native of Begamabad village, complained that Soni and Abid yesterday shot at him on Gang Nahar road, Station House Officer of Niwari police station, Nazeer Khan said.
Abid was earlier booked with four others for chopping off Manoj's genitals, he said.
Manoj, who was going towards Pachgaon village, was injured and admitted to a hospital, he said.
An FIR has been lodged against Soni and Abid under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC, he said, adding that an investigation is in progress in the matter.
The accused will be nabbed soon, the SHO added.
On June 24, a group of five eunuchs chopped off genitals of Manoj who used to work with them as drummer.
