Indirapuri police post incharge Sub Inspector Balram Singh Yadav said that Shabnam, who was employed in a private company in Shahdara area, reached near Shisahm Chowk in Laxmi Garden area on Tuesday when three bike-borne youths allegedly passed lewd remarks at her.
When she opposed their advances and raised an alarm, the youths allegedly fired indiscriminately and one bullet pierced through the woman's stomach, he said.
Police reached the spot and rushed the critically injured woman to GTB hospital in East Delhi where she is still undergoing treatment.
