Jagdish Prasad Verma was shot dead yesterday night when he raised alarm after spotting eight to ten armed members of a band of armed robbers in Roshn Nagar village in Hyderabad area, he said.
The villagers reached the spot after hearing the alarm. The dacoits fled while firing on them in which Neeraj was injured, police said.
A case has been registered in this connection, police said adding that the body has been sent for post mortem.
